NationsHelm ("we", "us") provides geopolitical intelligence cards, comparisons, and analysis at nationshelm.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign up with a password, we store a salted hash of it — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google instead.
We record which countries and leaders you star, the filter sets behind any Intelligence Panel insights you save, and a count of how many insights you generate each day. Signed-in usage is tied to your account; if you generate insights without an account, we track your daily count with a cookie instead.
Your light/dark theme preference is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers.
Intelligence Panel insight reports are generated by our own deterministic logic running on our servers from public country and leader data — we do not send your queries or personal data to a language-model provider. Separately, our published NationsHelm AI Insights (the leaders' Analyst Outlook dossiers and the Career Potential "LLM-inferred" ceiling) are AI-generated with a large-language model from public sourced material only, never from your data. If our handling of your queries changes, we'll update this policy first.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NationsHelm, our users, or others.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own by our service providers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you use the Service without an account, a cookie to track your daily free-insight count. These cookies are required for the Service to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
We also use analytics services — Google Analytics and PostHog — which set cookies to measure how visitors use the Service in aggregate. This data is not used for advertising and is not used to identify you personally.
If you are visiting from the EU, EEA, or UK, we do not set these analytics cookies or load Google Analytics or PostHog until you accept our cookie banner. You can accept or reject analytics cookies when the banner appears, and your choice is remembered for 6 months. Visitors elsewhere are tracked by default, as is standard for this type of analytics outside those regions.
We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, which permanently deletes your profile, starred items, saved insights, and usage history.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@nationshelm.com.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
